Thank you for taking this journey with me. I know that some of the ideas in this book are âon the edge.â Concepts such as âwe are all one,â âI choose for you what you choose for you,â and âlove never says noâ are not easy to accept. It will take courage to embrace themâand even more courage to implement them. Yet I believe that it will be essential to do so if we are, in the stirring words of Robert F. Kennedy, to seek a newer world.
There are many resources now available to help us with these challenges. Those who wish to explore new relationship paradigms more deeply may find of particular interest, two books that I experienced to be both helpful and exciting. They are: The Future of Love, by Daphne Rose Kingma, and Enchanted Love: The Mystical Powers of Intimate Relationships, by Marianne Williamson.
Both speak eloquently of the possibilities of relationship, the wonder of open-hearted love, and the glory of embracing spirit-to-spirit, as well as body-to-body. Marianne's latest work is especially breathtaking, its sweep at times approaching poetry.
Many questions on relationships, and, for that matter, all of the issues covered in the Conversations with God material, are addressed in the regular newsletter of our foundation. We named the foundation ReCreation because the message of CWG is that the purpose of life is to re-create yourself anew in the next grandest version of the greatest vision ever you held about Who You Are. The newsletter contains questions from readers all over the world on how to do just that. I answer each letter personally. If you would like to âstay connectedâ with the energy of CWG, you may obtain a 12-issue subscription to the newsletter. Please visit www.cwg.org for details.
Finally, Hampton Roads Publishing Company has produced a wonderful collection of the best of these queries and responses over the past five years, entitled Questions and Answers on Conversations with God. It and the CWG Guidebook (also from Hampton Roads) are two of the most helpful books ever produced for those who truly seek to understand the CWG material more fully, and to find practical ways to apply it in their every day lives.
By these and other means, I hope that we can all learn more about relationships, and how to improve them. I hope that we'll all remember how to love. We knew how to, once. We knew how to live without expectation, without fear, without neediness, and without having to have power over someone, or to be somehow better than another. If we can get back to that place, we can heal our lives, and heal the world.
Blessed be.
